Indah means beautiful in Indonesian. I’ve been by the sea non stop since the new year began, and boy, has it been beautiful! After spending every day at Swami’s Beach writing my book for three months, I wanted to really go to the beach and start to appreciate what I was seeing. It’s been unbelievably warm and lovely here in San Diego this Winter, and the surf is fantastic.
I used to only dream of this kind of weather in January, but I’ve been so busy I barely had a breath to step back and say thank you to all that nature provides for me every day. I’ve been going down to the beach and picking little treasures: beautiful, pink seashells have been washing up lately at Swami’s from the high tide. I take afternoon dips in the warm water, digging my hands in the sand and pulling up gorgeous intact nautilus conch shells. It’s so lovely.
