Nude lips can be tricky. Depending on your skin tone, one color that may look pink on one girl may show up dark or taupe on another.

So, how do you pick the perfect nude lip?

Here are some of my tried-and-true, non-toxic obsessions!

RMS Beauty LipShine in Honest is a gorgeous dusty rose nude. It contains super clean ingredients, which I love, and looks great on golden skin. Although I find this formula to be a little dry, I always just mix it with a dab of Waxelene and it creates the perfect subtle shine. My go-to on dates and photoshoots!

100% Pure Pigmented Lip Glaze in Sultry This nude-y shade came into my life after a makeup artist used it on me for a recent event. The creamy café color might be the most photogenic I’ve ever worn. Sultry makes you feel just that – confident, sexy and ready to take on the world! I also love that it NEVER ends up on my teeth!

Ilia Multi-Stick in Humble Me You long to find the ultimate nude that will fade those lips into oblivion, but don’t know where to start. That’s where Humble Me comes in! It’s a great day time shade & suitable for any season. Subtle and silent to the world, Humble Me carries honey-brown tones to neutralize and disguise even the most prominent lip. Apply to lips, mix with some ‘lene to moisten lips and revive colors in between my re-application.

Vapour Elixir Plumping Gloss in Pout For a long time, I didn’t really wear nude lipstick—I felt like it gave me a ghostly, Elvira vibe, and reminded me of my punk days in HS—but this color changed my mind. Since experimenting with it, I’ve been hooked! I looovvvve that this nude-tone gloss that has some color, but enough pink in it to give me life… plus I love a beautiful shine!

Nudus in 27 Kisses This healthy lipstick is wonderful to wear – creamy soft and hydrating. My lips are naturally pigmented and it is hard to find soft colors that remain true on my lips. Not anymore! I love everything about 27 Kisses – it’s demure but makes a statement. It’s very similar to Kat Von D’s Lolita, without all the toxic chemicals. Nūdus uses 27 active ingredients, including super foods, antioxidants, vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K, essential fatty acids, and high-end anti-aging ingredients to keep the lips soft and help protect them from environmental stress.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Cream Stick in Naked Pink is a gorgeous, subtle pink. You’ll barely know you’re wearing anything on your lips! I find this cream stick super hydrating, and great for lip lining – it creates that perfect pout!  Color is nice and strong without compromising on ingredients!

Gressa Lip Boost in Bare There are two types of nude lipsticks – the brown or neutral hues that can be daunting, and the perfect hint of pinks that blend in. This Bare Boost by Gressa is my favorite of the latter! Totally hydrating, smells great, wonderful ingredients – and the perfect little pop of pink so your lips don’t get lost.

Kjaer Weis Liptint in DreamState is a pale, neutral nude-beige. I find Kjaer a bit dehydrating for my lips but once again, a subtle swipe of Waxelene before and after application helps it stay on all day! A beautiful color for any complexion – DreamState gives any makeup look a gentle finish!

Alima Pure Velvet Lipstick in Louise Alima has to be up there in my all time favorite green beauty makers of… well, everything! With a warm scent of vanilla and super hydrating ingredients, I can’t get enough of this lipstick in Louise! I’ve been wearing it all summer! This creamy nude brightens up my face and adds a rose shade that almost mirrors my lip-tone.
